The course travels through Over-the-Rhine to the Riverfront and back through the West End, passing many historic breweries in the heart of the Brewery District.
- After party at the Christian Morlein Event Center with live music, cold beer, and food. More details can be found at www.hudepohl14kbreweryrun.com
Tours include:
- The "Prohibition Resistance: The Marzen Tour" is an Oktoberfest-inspired, 2 1/2 hour walking tour that celebrates the importance of beer and the brewing industry to Cincinnati's German heritage. Participants will start at the Christian Moerlein Event Center, visiting the lagering cellars and tunnels of the Crown Brewery and travelling 30 feet below McMicken Avenue. A visit to the historic high-bay brewing spaces of the Clyffside Brewery will include a talk and presentation on Over-the-Rhine's brewing heritage. You will then travel next door to the depths of the Jackson Brewery's lagering cellars deep below the Clifton hillside, before returning to the Moerlein Event Center for complementary beer and entertainment. Tours run both Saturday and Sunday with starting times between 11AM and 3PM, beginning every 40 minutes. Tour space is limited so sign up quickly for your chance at a walk through Cincinnati's brewing history.
